Turtle or Tortoise

A picture of a turtle (or tortoise) to color. Do you know the difference between turtles and tortoises? The use of the words turtle and tortoise differ in British English, American English and Australian English, but a good rule of thumb is that tortoises are land turtles. If it lives in the sea, it's definitely a sea turttle. If it lives on land, it's a tortoise. If it lives in brackish water (a mix of salty sea water and fresh water common in estuaries where rivers meet the sea), it's a terrapin! In any case, this turtle has a big shell for you to color with large scales (or windows for the house the turtle wears on its back!).
