Horse Chestnut Leaf

By stephane • Coloring pages • Monday 19/10/2009 • 0 comments

A picture of a leaf of a horse chestnut tree. Horse chestnut trees can be found in most parks. Now that Fall is here, we have to be careful when walking underneath them, their spiky fruits (conkers) might fall on our heads! The latin name for horse chestnut is Aesculus hippocastanum, which litterally means... "horse chestnut"! This drawing is the first of a series on leaves coloring pages, for all the classes where pupils work on Fall and falling leaves.
